Here's The Truth We Know About Arthur Ashe's Daughter, Camera Ashe

Camera Ashe is the only daughter of the trailblazer tennis player Arthur Ashe and the photographer Jeanne Moutoussamy-Ashe.

The Ashe couple adopted Camera in December 1986 after they were unable to conceive a child. She was named after her mother Jeanne's profession as a photographer.

The daughter of the tennis legend has not been too active on social media. She has been living a low-profile life as of late. Ashe does not usually come out in the media but praised the decision to give the 2015 Arthur Ashe Courage Award to Caitlyn Jenner.

She told Daily News that Caitlyn's bravery was beyond inspirational and it takes a true warrior to conquer such a challenge. She added that Jenner is the epitome of courage and was the most deserving of the award.

Though the exact age of Camera Ashe is currently unknown, as she was adopted in 1986, she is believed to be 36 years old.

Just less than two years of her adoption, Arthur Ashe was diagnosed as HIV positive. it was believed that he contracted the virus via a blood transfusion during a heart bypass surgery. the tennis legend passed away on February 6, 1993, from pneumonia in New York.

Camera Ashe does not have a Wikipedia page in her name. She is the daughter of tennis icon Arthur Ashe and photographer Jeanne Moutoussamy. Her father and mother first met in October 1976 at a United Negro College Fund benefit. They were married on February 20, 1977.

Camera Ashe has not revealed anything about her husband or marital life. She has maintained secrecy regarding her personal life.

Arthur Ashe was the subject of the 2021 biographical American British documentary Citizen Ashe, named after Citizen Kane. The documentary was released on December 3, 2021, in the United States.
