Ben-Shalom, aged 27, is the creator and CEO of BOXXER, which will soon be shown live and exclusively on Sky Sports alongside Bob Arum's Top Rank.

The idea came from an entrepreneur with a musical background who wanted to dodge his parent's desire for him to become a lawyer. He grew up in Manchester surrounded by local boxers, saying, He used to attend to exhibitions as a spectator and as a friend of some boxers, but he thought, This is dreadful.

Shalom became the UK's youngest licensed promoter at the age of 23 and embarked on a journey that eventually lead him to Sky Sports. Shalom will not be there at every bout or press conference; he prefers the competitors to take the spotlight. But, he concedes, leading an unknown talent to superstardom is a goal.
