Anna McMorrin and her ex-husband have two daughters. Although he was married to a politician, Anna's ex-husband preferred to stay away from the media.

McMorrin was in a relationship with politician Alun Davies. They began dating in 2014 and separated in 2020. Alun is a Welsh Labor and Co-operative Party politician working for the Blaenau Gwent as the Member of the Senedd since 2011.

Davies got removed from his Cabinet role in 2014 after pressuring civil servants to disclose private details about opposition members.

He was suspended from the Welsh Labor group in January 2021 after drinking alcohol on Senedd premises. In February 2021, he was re-admitted to the Welsh Labor group and will continue to stand in the 2021 Senedd election.

Anna is a member of LGBT Labour, Co-operative Party, Unison and GMB unions, Labour Women's Network. She is passionate about the environment and often talks about climate emergencies and strengthening the green agenda.

Anna McMorrin recently talked about her abuse history and how she summoned the strength to leave an abusive relationship. She spoke from her own experience to highlight how emotional abuse is a real thing, reports Independent.

The MP Of The United Kingdom expressed that the law must understand that emotional abuse is real. She spoke about being in a controlling relationship. Anna revealed that she had to imagine he was Beyonce to gain the strength to walk out of the relationship.

Anna McMorrin has two children. She is a keen Welsh learner and often practices with her daughters.

Growing up, she lived in Glasbury, near Brecon, with her parents and family. She joined the Labour Party as a student after seeing the damage caused by Thatcherism.

McMorrin graduated from the University of Southampton with a BA degree in French and Politics in 1994. She earned her post-graduate diploma in journalism from Cardiff University in 1997.
