Who Are American Idol Leah Marlene's Parents? Meet Her Father Derry & Mother Deanna Marlene

Leah Marlene was born to her parents, Deanna Grehan, 55, and Derry Grehan, 64, a member of the Canadian rock band Honeymoon Suite, in McLean County, Illinois.

Deanna and Derry married in 1995, according to Gossip Next Door, after meeting at a record store while the Honeymoon Suite member was on tour. Derry decided to pursue a musical career after graduating from Fanshawe College in the 1970s, so he began playing with local bands.

Derry was still quite active with family life when Leah was growing up, despite being a huge rock star. Deanna, on the other hand, has avoided the rock star lifestyle and now works as a personal trainer, according to Gossip Next Door.

Leah Marlene performed Larkin Poe's She's A Self-Made Man in the Showstopper Performance on American Idol, earning her a berth in the final 24 contestants. For her audition, she performed the cover of One Direction's Steal My Girl.

Marlene earned a spot in the top 11 contestants by performing Happy Together by The Turtles. Judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan have nothing but praises for the 20-year-old singer and songwriter.

The 20-year-old singer-songwriter sang Journey's "Separate Ways" and "I'll Stand By You," which were covered by previous "Idol" winner Carrie Underwood. She was one of three contestants chosen by the public to advance to the final round.

Leah Marlene does not have a Wikipedia page. However, her father, Derry Grehan, does have a Wikipedia page. Leah was born in Toronto, Canada, on June 25, 2001, and relocated to Illinois with her family when she was a child.
