Christine Chiu was born in Taiwan and raised by her Asian parents in Beverly Hills.
She told in her interviews that her parents were very philanthropic when she was growing up. Because of this, they instilled the significance of working hard and giving back to the community and those you care about. In short, her parents taught her to extend beyond just the family unit, but to the whole community and environment.
According to Yahoo, Christine lost her best friend and the closest person in her life i.e. her mother during the pandemic. And, the cause of the death was not because of Covid-19 but breast cancer. This led her to reflect on and understand the most important teachings in her life and that is when her mom was passing away, Chiu had a hefty amount of money and prestige. But, no matter what she did, nothing could save her deceased mother.
Furthermore, the passing of Chiu's mom led her to appreciate and emphasize more on family and health and not other fancy things or bling lifestyles.
Chiu did not have as good relation with her father as she had with her mom. She told People that she and her father has not spoken since the show Bling Empire came out. In fact, it was during the time of her mother's passing that she reconnected with her father. And, she also revealed that she was able to facetime with her dad and even introduced him to her only child for the first time.
