What Happened To Kay Kay Singer? Death After And Illness Age 53

A versatile singer known as Kay Kay died while performing in a concert due to a stroke in Kolkata. He was active in the singing field from 1996 to 2022 in the Indian singing arena.

Krishnakumar was born in India's capital Delhi and died in Kolkata. Before getting into Bollywood, KK sang 3,500 jingles.

Kay attended Delhi's Mount St Mary's School and graduated from Delhi University's Kirori Mal College.

During the 1999 Cricket World Cup, he sang the song "Josh of India" to support the Indian cricket team.

According to the Times Of India, KK passed away in the concert venue in Nazrul Manch.

Furthermore, one of the Twitter users reported, "#BreakingNews unbelievable, Popular singer Krishnakumar Kunnath aka KK passed away while performing live in Kolkata right now. His first song, which made me a fan, was Pal. This is so tragic and sad. Rest in peace, condolences, and prayers with the family."

Kay Kay illness has not been revealed yet because this is a developing story. However, the initial report presumes that he died of a heart stroke.

Kay took great inspiration from Kishore Kumar and R. D. Burman. Kay's favorite foreign singers and bands include Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Bryan Adams, and Led Zeppelin.

Krishna often said that a singer's face should not be widely displayed and that the most important thing is, "a singer must be heard."

He never had any formal musical training. To get into the Indian music industry, Kay gave his demo tape to Louis Banks, Lesle Lewis, and Ranjit Barot in 1994.

A broadcasting company UTV approached him and asked him to sing a song for a Santogen Suiting commercial. He sang about 3,500 songs in 11 languages over four years.

Pal was his debut album, released in April 1999. Screen India had given him a Star Screen Award for Best Male Singer for his performance on the album.

Humsafar, his second album, came out nine years later, in January 2008. It was released in the pop-rock genre and featured ten tracks.
