Meet Anne Stringfield, Wife Of Steve Martin
American actor and comedian Steve Martin's wife is Anne Stringfield, a freelance writer. As of 2022, the couple has been married for 15 years.
He got introduced to his future wife Anne in the early 200s while she was working for The New Yorker magazine as a fact-checker. They dated for a couple of years before finally tying the knot on July 28, 2007.
The marriage ceremony was held at Martin's Los Angeles home in front of select guests. Unfortunately, several of the guests did not know that they had come to a marriage ceremony as Martin told them to go to a party without telling them about the actual purpose of the party.
Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels, a good friend of Martin, served as the best man. American politician and former Governor of Nebraska, Bob Kerrey, presided over the ceremony.
Stringfield used to work as a freelance writer for Vogue magazine and reviewed art and off-broadway plays. She is noted for being significantly younger than her husband, Steve. During their marriage, Martin was 61, whereas his wife, Stringfield, was just 35, with 26 year of gap between them.
Famed actor Steve Martin and his wife welcomed their daughter, Mary, in December 2012, five years after their marriage. However, the couple has been very secretive regarding the identity of their daughter, whom they prefer to keep out of the media spotlight.
They have also refrained from showing Mary's face on the internet for privacy reasons.
Mary is the only child of the 77-year-old comedian and actor Steve Martin, who has been married twice. His first marriage with British actress Victoria Tennant ended in divorce in 1994 after eight years together, but they did not have any children together. Tennant later had two children with her third husband, Kirk Stambler.
