A picture of Lord Trimble, Nobel Peace Prize recipient, is revealed at Queen's University in Belfast, where he was once a student.

Prior to joining full-time politics, the former Ulster Unionist leader taught law at the university level.

BBC: David Trimble Health Condition

David Trimble's health condition has piqued everyone's interest following his appearance at his portrait unveiling event at Queen's University.

He appeared to be a little off, having lost a large amount of weight. However, the problem might have developed as a result of his age. 

Mr. Trimble is presently 77 years old, and some weight fluctuation and facial wrinkles are typical. 

Colin Davidson painted his portrait, which will be permanently hung in Queen's Great Hall as a memorial to him. The image was unveiled in front of Lord Trimble and his family at Riddel Hall at a ceremony.

Lord Trimble and then-SDLP leader John Hume shared the Nobel Peace Prize in 1998 for their roles in the Good Friday Agreement.

Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern delivered a speech during the occasion, describing Lord Trimble as a "passionate and committed peacemaker."

Conor Burns, Minister for Northern Ireland, was also present. "Courage has characterized your career, Lord Trimble," he said.

What Illness Does David Trimble Have?

David Trimble is a British politician who served as Northern Ireland's first First Minister from 1998 to 2002. Furthermore, he is also the head of the Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) from 1995 to 2005.

He served as the Upper Bann Member of Parliament (MP) from 1990 to 2005 and the Upper Bann Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from 1998 to 2007.

He was made a life peer in the House of Lords in 2006 and left the UUP the following year to join the Conservative Party.

Nobel peace-prize winner Lord Trimble has not disclosed any serious illness as of now. He is getting aged, however, appears to be fine and devoid of any significant disease.

We wish him long and healthy life and hope that he will continue to strive for the sake of the nation.

David Trimble Is A British Politician And A Nobel Peace-Prize Winner

David Trimble, a British politician is the first First Minister of Northern Ireland from 1998 to 2002. The politician began his career, in the 1970s, after teaching law at The Queen's University of Belfast.

There he became affiliated with the paramilitary-linked Vanguard Progressive Unionist Party. In 1975, he was elected to the Northern Ireland Constitutional Convention, and in 1978, after the VPUP collapsed, he joined the UUP. 

He maintained his academic career at Queen's University until being elected as the MP for Upper Bann in 1990. He was surprisingly elected as the UUP's leader in 1995.

He was essential in the discussions that resulted in the Good Friday Agreement in 1998, and he shared the Nobel Peace Prize that year with John Hume.

Lord Trimble was eventually elected as Northern Ireland's first First Minister. However, his term was difficult and regularly interrupted by debates over the timing for the disarming of the Provisional Irish Republican Army.

Trimble resigned as UUP leader shortly after being defeated in the 2005 general election. He received a life peerage in the House of Lords in June 2006, assuming the title of Baron Trimble of Lisnagarvey in the County of Antrim.

He did not run for re-election to the Assembly when it reconvened in 2007, instead of quitting the UUP to join the Conservative Party.
