Lilly Singh is born to her parents, Malvindar Kaur and Sukvindar Singh on September 26, 1988.
Her family is an immigrant from Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India, and currently resides in London. She was reared as a Sikh along with her sister, Tina.
Tina also runs a family Youtube channel where she makes films with her husband and their three sons. She was a tomboy as a child, according to Singh.
She is an Indo-Canadian who became deeply connected to her Punjabi roots while traveling to India. She was a young adult who resided in Markham, Ontario, with her parents.
She spent her elementary school years at Mary Shadd Public School and graduated from Lester B. Pearson Collegiate Institute in Malvern, Toronto, in 2006.
She received a psychology bachelor's degree from York University in Toronto in 2010.
Lilly had arachnophobia and depression when she turned to make YouTube videos to express her thoughts. Singh came out as bisexual to the public on social media in February 2019.
At 30, Lilly revealed to her parents that she was bisexual. She recalls feeling anxious and disappointed during the episode.
