Drew Drechsel is widely recognized for his participation in American Ninja Warrior and its Japanese parent show, SASUKE.
He competed in many seasons in both the American and Japanese versions, thus, being a veteran in the game show fraternity. He won the eleventh season of American Ninja Warrior.
While all was going alright in his connection with the show, his arrest created a stir, given the charges' sensitive integrity.
Since then, Drechsel has become a hateful figure, while both shows have cut ties with him.
Why Was Drew Drechsel Arrested?
Drew Drechsel was arrested in early August 2020 under the charges of child sex abuse.
NBC News reports that the Ninja Warrior was found seeking sex with a minor and inducing her into sending him sexually explicit images.
Reports further claim that the Ninja Warrior champion is confirmed to have been in a physical relationship with the girl, who was 14 years old, in July 2015.

Drew traveled to New Jersey to fulfill the misdeed and had once allegedly "enticed and coerced" the minor to travel to Connecticut for the same reason.
The events between the two took place from around January 2015 through December 2016.
When the minor's mother came to know about it, she confronted Drew, who did not deny the relationship but defended himself for not knowing his victim's age.

Drew Drechsel was arrested and presented to a court in 2020.
His charges include the manufacture of child pornography, enticement of a minor to travel for illicit sexual conduct, travel with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor, and use of interstate commerce to entice a minor.
If convicted, he could face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, and a hefty compensation as each count carries a maximum fine of $250,000.
However, Drew's attorney Frank J. Riccio II, maintained to the media that Drew had decided not to plead guilty at that time, per USA Today.
American Ninja Warrior broke all ties with him so as the immense media deals. Meanwhile, the case is still strong as both parties are battling in court.

Is Drew Drechsel Married To Wife April Beckner?
Drew Drechsel has yet to name April Beckner his wife as they are not married yet. However, the two shares a son named Korey, born in December 2019.
While April was pregnant, Drew did not appear in SASUKE 37, making it the first time that he did not compete in SASUKE since SASUKE 29.

The report covers that the Ninja Warrior and the minor regularly met up at the gym and engaged in physical activity after April would leave the premises.
