Who Was Donovan Thomas Atlanta? Rapper Young Thug Arrested For The Murder Of A Rival Gang Member

Donovan Thomas was a victim of the shooting at a southwest Atlanta barbershop in 2015. On Saturday night, it happened on McDaniel Street in the Castleberry Hill area.

Thomas, a 26-year-old man, was slain and another guy in his twenties was shot in the leg, as was a 14-year-old youngster. It seems to be a drive-by shooting, according to investigators.

They don't know why the shooting happened, but they don't believe it was random. Thomas was shot many times in the upper torso, according to police. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for surgery, where he eventually died.

The victims were shot outside a barbershop, according to homicide detectives, although the men are not believed to be related to the company.

The gunman or the vehicle used in the attack were not identified by police.

Several more recent shootings have occurred in the same region where the incident occurred.

Young Thug, whose true name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, was arrested in a leased Buckhead house and is presently being held at Fulton County Jail.

The accusations in the grand jury indictment against the 28 members and affiliates of Young Slime Life, better known as "YSL".

It includes the conspiracy to violate the RICO Act, murder, armed robbery, and involvement in criminal street gang activities, according to WSBTV reporter Michael Seiden.

In addition to the aforementioned allegations, Young Thug has been accused of hiring a 2014 Infiniti Q50 vehicle from Hertz. It was the same vehicle that was used in the murder of a rival gang member, Donovan Thomas Jr, in 2015.

Prosecutors believe that two YSL colleagues, Christian Eppinger and Antonio Sumlin, sought to gain authorization from Young Thug to try to assassinate the victim again.

Following his arrest, The Sun contacted Young Thug's representative for comment. The allegations leveled against Young Thug are all felonies.

"I'll give you the reaction to any allegation: Mr. Williams committed no crime whatsoever. And we will fight until the last drop of blood to exonerate him," his defense attorney Brian Steel said in a statement.

The hitman's mug photo was revealed not long after the news broke.

In the shot, he was wearing two white tank tops and looked to be straight-faced.

Donovan Thomas then 26 was brutally killed by a gunshot in 2015. He was a rival gang rapper and a well-known figure in Atlanta.

He was shot and killed outside a barbershop in southwest Atlanta with rounds fired from a semi-automatic pistol from a 2014 Infiniti Q50 Sedan.

His family was devastated by his death.
