Holton's family reported that 'she was the designated driver for a night out with a buddy that began at Top Golf and finished at the pub'.
According to authorities, 8th District police responded to several complaints of a shooting and discovered Holton with a gunshot wound to the head.
She was taken to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital for surgery, but she died later, according to authorities.
Holton's uncle spoke to FOX 29 about his niece and shared his displeasure with Philadelphia's gun violence.
"She was a nice kid. She normally worked and then came home "Holton stated. "She didn't go out much, I mean. Her friend called, she went to Top Golf, and then they came here.'
"They were only going to be here for approximately 15 to 20 minutes when the fight started."
"When will people become tired of this irresponsible shooting in the city?" he wondered. "Nobody is doing nothing. They get a mouthpiece for 20 seconds on TV, and then everyone runs about like it's the Wild West out here. I'm talking about cowards!"
A GoFundMe page has been put up to assist Holton's family with funeral expenses.
