Catie Randazzo is a chef who will be seen in the upcoming HBO Max cooking series, The Big Brunch.

She is one of the ten chefs competing in the show to tell about their stories and business dreams while competing for the prize.

The Big Brunch show is set to premiere on HBO Max on November 10, where ten chefs compete with each other for the prize money of $300,000.

Who Is Chef Catie Randazzo? 

Catie Randazzo is a chef from Colombus, Ohio who is set to appear on the screen through the cooking series, The Big Brunch.

She is currently working as the Executive Chef at Huckleberry Bakery & Café in Santa Monica.

Randazzo is known by most people through her popular food truck, Challah! Randazzo.

Her food truck later branched out into the brick-and-mortar business, Ambrose & Eve in the Brewery District.

She opened Ambrose & Eve in 2018 along with then-business partner Matthew Heaggan but later Matthew left the restaurant just a few months before it closed.

Catie was also voted the top local chef of 2019. During the pandemic, the restaurant went through some financial troubles and had to be closed after just two years in 2020.

Before she moved to Los Angeles to work at Huckleberry Bakery & Cafe, the chef had also worked in the kitchen at Franklinton’s Strongwater.

Similarly now she will be on screen as she has been selected for The Big Brunch. She got selected for the show while she was workings as general manager and head chef at Strongwater Food & Spirits.

The Big Brunch is a new cooking series from the famous actor, Dany Levi who is known for working in Schitt's Creek.

Along with Dany, chef Sohla El-Waylly and restaurateur Will Guidara will be judging the chefs in the show.

Dany has a hand in picking the ten chefs that will be competing in the show. He has not chosen the contestants only on their culinary skills but also based on the work that they had done in their individual communities

The show is eight-episode series where the chef will put their skills to the test to bring dishes regarding brunch food to the judge's table.

Similarly, the chef must prepare several meals and drinks according to a challenge or a specific trend in each episode. The actor tells that the show is a blend of both good food and great people.

Catie shared why she loves brunch during her interview with People Magazine.

She shared that brunch is the perfect place to meet up with friends and family. It is one of the reasons for getting bonded over pancakes, memories, and mimosas.

The chef's focus for brunch is to keep it simple. Similarly, her brunch is usually made with the use of thoughtful ingredients with integrity.

Her go-to dish is a French omelet with fresh herbs and creme fraiche served with a simple salad of organic greens.

  2. Catie went to Pickerington High School but didn't have any idea about the career she wanted to pursue until she went to the Columbus Culinary Institute at age 27.
  3. Randazzo did her internship with farm-to-table chef Cathy Whims at Nostrana in Portland, Oregon for three months.
  4. Catie opened her food truck, Challah! and, she came up with the concept for her food truck after being gifted the Mile End Deli cookbook. The food truck helped her to open her restaurant, Ambrose & Eve with Matt Heaggans.
  5. Randazzo was co-owner of Ambrose & Eve, but due to financial conditions, the restaurant was closed in 2020. She is now working as the executive chef at Huckleberry Bakery & Café. Similarly, she is in the show, The Big Brunch.
