Lili Reinhart parents, Daniel Dane and Amy Reinhart, are proud of her career path in show business. She claims her surname is German in origin and is of German and French ancestry.

Reinhart grew up in the nearby hamlet of Bay Village after being born in Cleveland, Ohio.

When Lili was ten years old, she discovered a love for acting, dancing, and singing and asked her mother to drive her to NYC for auditions.

Reinhart relocated to Los Angeles at 18 to pursue her acting career, but she nearly gave up after only five months.

Along with Lilith (2011), Not Waving But Drowning, The Kings of Summer (2013), Gibsonburg, Forever's End (2013), Miss Stevens, and The Good Neighbor, she also starred in those movies (2016).

On February 9, 2016, Reinhart was given the role of Betty Cooper in Riverdale, a teen drama on The CW based on the Archie Comics characters.

After watching her performance in Mad Men, series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa initially sought out Kiernan Shipka for the part.

Reinhart submitted a taped audition for the part from her home in North Carolina before showing up in person a month later.
