Obituary: Who Is Shem Bowman?
Shem Bowman was a wrestling champion from Holbrook who lost his life in a car accident on Chevlon Canyon at 4 p.m. yesterday. His brother recalls him as an individual who lived a full life of service, generosity, and adventure.
Shem of Holbrook was identified 2014 upper-weight class wrestler of the year. Shem was the Roadrunners' lone individual state winner, winning the 195-pound class with a 5-0 record. "He totally crushed all of his matches on his route to a state championship," the coach stated.

He and his brother, Jedde, were regulars in the Pat Kenny Wrestling Invitational.
People are grieving his loss on social media and expressing their condolences to his family and friends.
"The sweetest, most real dude and buddy Rest easy, Shem, the world will not be the same without him. He was so nice and welcomed everyone for who they were, I can only aspire to live more like him," are some of the thoughts expressed by his wellwishers.
