Who Is Scott Minerd Of Guggenheim Investments? Everything About His Family And Net Worth

( Source : businessinsider )

Scott Minerd of Guggenheim told CNBC that Bitcoin could fall much farther, to $8000. His latest assertion about the price of Bitcoin has enraged cryptocurrency investors.

Guggenheim Partners' chief investment officer, Scott Minerd, told MarketWatch recently that the S&P 500 might fall 45 percent from its January peak this summer.

His latest Bitcoin remark has piqued the interest of global crypto investors, and many are tweeting about him.

Worse, he claims that the tech-heavy Nasdaq could eventually fall 75% from its November 2021 peak as tech companies are repriced for a new era of Fed policies.

As the S&P 500 approaches bear market territory following a historically dismal start to the year, many investors are asking if there is more decline coming.

Minerd's gloomy outlook is mostly based on the end of the free money period and the so-called "Fed put"—the belief that the Fed will bail out equities in the event of a severe downturn.
