What Happened To Former Soldier Randy Weaver? Death News And Family Whereabouts Today

Randy Weaver died at the age of 74, however the cause of death has not been revealed.  

I just found out a few moments ago that Randy Weaver from Ruby Ridge, Idaho, has passed away.

His wife Vicki and his son Sam were murdered by an FBI sniper during the 1992 siege, and spent the rest of his life fighting for justice for his wife and son.

His death came as a shock to everyone because there were no signs of illness before.

On social media, many people have paid tribute to him. We send our deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

We pray that God grants courage and strength to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one.

He was a defendant who was cleared of all charges made by the federal government against him, except for failing to appear in court.

He served 16 months in prison for a gun charge, according to a 2001 report in The Washington Post.

He and his daughter, Sara, wrote a book called The Federal Siege at Ruby Ridge: In Our Own Words, according to the source.

Weaver also mentioned that he received numerous emails and comments from people sympathizing with him while also criticizing the administration.

Randy Weaver lived in Montana, almost a hundred miles from Ruby Ridge. He is a grandfather and lives in the state with his daughters.

In an armed confrontation with US Marshals and FBI officers, Weaver, his family, and a buddy called Kevin Harris were involved.

During the confrontation, a US Marshal shot and killed Weaver's 14-year-old son Sammy, while Harris shot and killed US Marshal William Degan.

Vicki Weaver, Randy Weaver's wife was standing behind the door of the Weaver's house when the bullet hits her. The same sniper shot Harris.

Randy was born to his parents Clarence and Wilma Weaver, a farming couple in Villisca, Iowa.

His family eventually received $3,100,000 in compensation for the deaths of his wife and kid at the hands of federal officers.

On Thursday, Randy Weaver's daughter Sara confirmed the death news of his father on Facebook.  However, the reason for his death has yet to be confirmed.

In 1992, after an 11-day confrontation in the Idaho Rockies, his wife and son were killed by an FBI sniper.

When the US Marshall Service attempted to arrest Weaver for failing to appear in court on a guns charge, the standoff began.

Weaver had decided not to surrender and had spent a year and a half with his family inside his Ruby Ridge cabin.
