Who Is Mel Pearson's Wife Susie?
Mel Pearson's wife, Susie, is a former tennis player from Atlanta.
The coach and his partner crossed paths in a hockey town in Minnesota, Edina. They are high school lovers and met each other for the first time in high school in study hall while attending Edina East High School. Mel was a junior at the time, whereas Susie a sophomore.
Mel and Susie discovered their budding love for each other when they were just teenagers. After graduating high school, they kept in touch through long-distance relationships but in committed love.
Mel and his wife were engaged for a year before officially taking their relationship to the next step and tying the knot. And before getting married, he wanted to have a legitimate job lined up before taking that step. After Mel got an offer from Michigan Tech for assistant coaching, he took up that job, and he and Susie married. Likewise, their reception was held at the country club in Edina, where Mel loved to play golf.
They met while they were teenagers and got engaged in college and thus, married a year later and have been together for more than 35 years. Coach Mel considers Susie his biggest supporter; she was the apple of his eye from the outset. She would keep him in check when he would get out of line because of coaching or other things.
