Jean-Luc Brunel passed away in prison on February 19, 2022. He took his own life by hanging with his bedsheets in La Santé prison.
Brunel's career fell after he emerged as a suspect in two French cases involving young female victims. He was also investigated for trafficking.
Several young models also accused the Paris-born founder of two companies. After that, he was convicted as a Phedopile.
The fashion scout was formally indicted in September 2021 on a single count of rape, that happened in the year 1990.
Then, he was accused of intoxicating a 17-year-old model at a nightclub.
Interestingly, his partner and financier Jeffrey Epstein had also died by suicide by hanging. Both were reportedly involved in human trafficking.
