GoFundMe: What Happened To Anne Heche?
Anne Heche was hurt on Friday after her car collided with a two-story home in Los Angeles, causing extensive damage and a fire.
A spokesman for the actress stated that she was still in a coma in critical condition and on a ventilator five days after a car was smashed into a home in Los Angeles. Her status had not changed since Monday when a separate representative, Michael A. McConnell, told Reuters that the actress had not regained consciousness since the accident on Friday.
According to The New York Times, the actress was gravely injured when her Mini Cooper drove into a two-story home in Los Angeles' Mar Vista area, inflicting severe damage.
Earlier this week, Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department verified that Ms. Heche was involved in the incident. The officials did not disclose whether she was driving, but they did indicate she was the car's lone occupant. She was arrested and sent to the hospital with "serious injuries," according to authorities.
According to the Fire Department, it took fifty-nine firefighters and more than an hour to put out the fire that started following the incident. As of Officer Rosario Cervantes of the Los Angeles Police Department, the reason for the crash is being investigated, and no charges have been filed. She stated that a warrant was acquired following the incident for a blood sample taken on the day of the crash. According to the authorities, the inquiry in the case is going on.
Residents in Southern California's Mar Vista neighborhood have raised more than $111,000 through a GoFundMe effort to assist a woman who lost her home in a fire caused by a car accident.
