Lil Tjay Reportedly Shot in New Jersey and Having Emergency Surgery Done

No, Lil Tjay was not shot dead; however, he is undergoing emergency surgery after being shot multiple times. 

According to the reports, the shooting incident involved two people, one at a nearby Chipotle and the other at a petrol station.

Similarly, the report also included mention of a second victim, and more information had not been made available currently.

The suspects are on the run and have not been identified, and the authorities must discover the reason for the shooting. The shooting incident happened in the middle of the night Wednesday in Edgewater, New Jersey.

Lil, an American rapper and performer became well-known in 2018 because of his song "Resume." Later that year, Tjay signed with Columbia Records.

The first letter of his initial name and the first three letters of his middle name are combined to form his stage name.

He released the mixtape State of Emergency the following year, containing only drill artists from New York City.

Lil Tjay has been reportedly undergoing emergency surgery after being shot in New Jersey on Wednesday night. 

There is yet no confirmation of Tjay's shooting location, and the second victim's identity is unknown.

Police are actively seeking the alleged gunman or shooters, who are still on the run. The reason behind it is unknown.

Rappers from Lil Tjay's hometown sent their best wishes for a quick recovery after hearing about the event.

Tjay was born in the Bronx area of New York City. He was raised by a single mother and had two younger siblings in what was described as a "roomy" apartment.

Lil called himself the problematic child out of the three, as he often got into petty robberies and school fights.

He started writing raps while serving a year in a juvenile detention facility after being arrested for one of his robberies at 15. He published one of his famous tracks, "Resume," while there.
