Netizens believe Lawrence Bishnoi is responsible for the death of Sidhu Moose Wala. The musician and the politician was shot dead at Jawaharke village, Mansa district, Punjab.

Sidhu Moose Wala, a Punjabi musician, and Congress politician was assassinated at Jawaharke village, Mansa district, Punjab. Two others were injured when the intruders opened fire on the vehicle in which they were traveling.

The attackers have not yet been recognized. The incident occurred just one day after the Punjab government cut protection for 424 persons, including Moose Wala.

Did Lawrence Bishnoi Shoot Sidhu Moose Wala?

According to Ommcomnews, Goldi Brar, a close aide of the Bishnoi gang located in Canada, claimed responsibility for the murder of Sidhu Moosewala in Punjab on Sunday.

Unidentified assailants shot and killed renowned Punjabi singer Mussewala today in Mansa district's hamlet Jawaharke. And people are assuming the gunman to be Lawrence Bishnoi, as he was on a gangster's hit list and was receiving threats from the Bishnoi gang.

According to police, he was driving his Thar vehicle when unidentified thugs gheraoed him and fired 30-40 rounds at him. Two of his companions in the same vehicle were critically hurt.

The 28-year-old singer, who was famous in the state's rural areas, was among the 424 VIPs. Their protection was, however, reduced yesterday as part of the Bhagwant Mann government's crackdown on VIP culture.

Moose Wala was once guarded by four armed persons; the cover was reduced to two armed guards.

Retired police officers and religious and political figures were among the VIPs whose protection was reduced in the last wave. The state administration has already removed the security of 184 former ministers, MLAs, and private protectees.

The protection of 122 former ministers and MLAs had been removed a month before.

Former ministers Manpreet Singh Badal, Raj Kumar Verka, Bharat Bhushan Ashu, and the family of former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi are among those who have lost security protection.

The Punjab administration of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has come under fire for publicizing its plan to withdraw VIP security protection.

Moose Wala ran on a Congress ticket from Mansa in this year's Punjab assembly election but was beaten by AAP candidate Vijay Singla by a massive margin of 63,000 votes.

Vijay Singla was recently fired by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on corruption accusations. Moose Wala ignited outrage last month when he used his song 'Scapegoat' to mock the Aam Aadmi Party and its followers.

In his song, the artist referred to AAP followers as "gaddar" (traitors).

Sidhu Moose Wala's Parents Are Mourning Singer's Death- Controversy

Sidhu Moose Wala aka  Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu was born to his parents on June 17, 1993, in Moose Wala village in Punjab's Mansa district. Moose Wala was well-known for his gangster raps and had a large fan following.

His death by gunfire shortly after the protection cut has sparked controversy in the country. People are accusing assassins of being Lawrence Bishnoi's gangster.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa wrote, "We have been warning the Punjab government to pay attention to the situation in Punjab. I demand that an FIR be filed against Bhagwant Mann for failing to do his duty as Chief Minister, which resulted in the death of #sidhumoosewala."

While there are also reports that he was shot thirty times. 

Moose Wala held a degree in electrical engineering. He had studied music in college and had afterward relocated to Canada.

Moose Wala was also one of the most divisive Punjabi musicians, openly supporting gun culture and praising criminals in incendiary songs.

His song 'Jatti Jeonay Morh Di Bandook Wargi,' which was published in September 2019, sparked outrage due to an allusion to the 18th-century Sikh fighter Mai Bhago.

He was accused of casting a negative light on this Sikh warrior. Later, Moose Wala apologized.

In July 2020, another song, 'Sanju,' stirred controversy. After Sidhu Moose Wala was granted bail in the AK-47 shooting case, the song was released.

He likened himself to actor Sanjay Dutt in the song, which was uploaded on social media. In May 2020, a video recording showing him practicing at a shooting range in Barnala village went popular on social media.

It resulted in a complaint being filed against him under the Arms Act. A Sangrur judge. However, he was later granted bail.
