At the age of 30, he switched from architecture to interior design and formed his own firm, Studio Hopwood. Daniel is also a guest lecturer at KLC School of Design, gives talks at trade exhibitions like 100 percent Design, and consults for clients like Dulux on trends.

Despite his demanding schedule and colorful resume, he claims that he feels most at ease while brainstorming for customers or visiting construction sites.
