Who Is Chad Maydwell Arrested For Killing His Grandmother? 80 Years Old Juduth Maydwell Murdered

Chad Maydwell is a 30years old man from Houston who was arrested and charged with the murder of his grandmother, Juduth Maydwell.

Chad was also wanted by the Grimes County Sheriff's Office in connection with his father's violent assault on March 7. And he is presently being held in the Harris County Jail.

It's not Chad's first assault charge, either, according to the records. In addition, he was convicted of assault on a family member in 2021 for an event in 2018.

Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff's Office were summoned to the 16100 block of Golden Sands Drive, near the intersection of West and Telge roads.

Family members reported finding their 80-year-old grandma deceased in her house and asked to conduct a welfare check. When police arrived, they discovered a damaged sliding glass door and Juduth Maydwell dead on the living room floor.

She looked to have had many blunt force trauma injuries. The HCSO Warrants Unit found him on Sunday morning in the 12700 block of Jarvis Road, just a few miles from Juduth's house.

Chad Maydwell was arrested for killing his grandmother Juduth Maydwell on Sunday morning. He escaped into a nearby forested area, according to authorities, but was arrested a short time later with the assistance of a K-9 team and aircraft.

When he was detained, he acknowledged attacking his father and killing his grandma, according to authorities.

According to HCSO officials, Chad was placed in the Harris County Jail and will be charged with capital murder. The detail about his sentencing will be made available soon, following his hearing.

The police are currently investigating the case. His mugshot alone is terrifying to look at. Even after the murder, his glaring eyes and furious mouth indicate that he remains unsatisfied.

Chad Maydwell's motive behind murdering his grandmother is not yet made public. The authorities are currently handling the case and maybe interrogating his family to understand him better.

Since there have been multiple reports of him assaulting his family members, he may have a compelling reason. Or he could be a patient with a psychological disorder.

None of these reasons, however, excuse the murder of his 80-year-old grandmother.
