According to Wikipedia, B.D. Hyman was born on May 1, 1947, in Santa Ana, California, U.S.

Likewise, her sister, Margot Mosher Merrill, was born on January 6, 1951.

The sibling's age gap from their birthdates seems to be four years of the age difference between the two sisters.

B.D. Hyman was adopted in 1950 by Bette Davis's fourth husband, actor Gary Merrill. Hyman is the child of actress Bette Davis and artist William Grant Sherry.

When B.D. turned 16, she changed her last name back to Sherry, saying she wanted to separate herself from Merrill, whom she said was violent.

Davis and her fourth husband adopted Margot when she was a baby. Margot was diagnosed with brain injury as a youngster, which led to developmental and mental problems.

Margot has lived in Lochland School, a residence for children with developmental disabilities, for all of her life despite Davis's best efforts to take care of her daughter.
