Who Is Basketball Player Cj Cansino? More On His Parents and Family Background

Basketball Player Cj Cansino age is 22 years old, and he plays at the University of the Philippines. The 6'2" tall player is out of games due to his knee injury. 

CJ Cansino's date of birth is 29 October 1999. Cansino and Chris Koon collided with 39 seconds left in the third canto during last Sunday UP's game against Ateneo.

The Blue Eagle landed on the Maroon's left knee by accident. Despite being able to stand on his own, Cansino could not participate in Game One of the Final Four, which the Green Archers won 83-80.

On the other hand, he appeared to be in good shape after returning to the UP bench without any assistance.

Cansino suffered "bone bruising and minimal/manageable swelling on the knee," according to Bo Perasol. Bo is the UP men's basketball program director and former head coach.

Cansino took part in their movement drills, and more information will be released after practice.

Since suffering an injury to his right knee in the Maroons' final game of the UAAP Season 84 men's basketball eliminations against defending champion Ateneo, CJ Cansino has not played for the University of the Philippines.

According to doctors consulted by UP, such injuries usually take 2 to 4 weeks to heal completely.

When Cansino tests the knee, he also feels pain in some movements, the former UP coach added. According to Perasol, there is still some swelling around the injured knee.

"The issue is that he still feels pain during certain movements," Perasol explained. "Masakit pa, kung lateral, paatras, or sudden stop."

Perasol said Cansino was scheduled to join the Maroons in practice on Tuesday night to re-test his knee.

The school will decide on his availability for Game Two entirely up to the former UST star.
